I read by the pool for a few hours yesterday! (They play the funniest music here at the mall. When I got here this morning I think they were rocking some Andy Williams. Now playing: The Lambada Song.) When I got back to my room three of my mom's friends and one of their sons called to make sure I had plans and didn't need anything. My mom's friends must really like her because not only do they take great care of me, but they make their sons take care of me, too. My social calendar here is busier than back home! I ended up going to the Singhalese Sports Club (SSC) with Tara, Sanji and Michelle. Their cousin and his wife took us. Got to see how the locals kick it. More shopping today and hanging with my new boyfriend, Ben.

me: Hey Ben, I'm Aunty Lekha's daughter.
Ben: Aunty Lekha? She's my best friend!
me: Right...so then, yeah I'm your best friend's daughter. Nice to meet you.
