Went shopping in Pettah yesterday -- that was an experience! The sights, the sounds, the smells.
First stop - a sari shop. Narrow aisles, tons of fabric, kids clothes, saris. 2 floors, tiny staircase. LOTS of salesmen.
Ben was a trooper. He kept it together better than I did. They gave us Sprite. I liked the bottles.
After the sari shop we went to the tailor. They charge 600 rupees (~$6) to make a dress. Insane.
